As a result, law enforcement administrators are searching for new ways to do business and for more efficient and effective uses of existing resources. Proactive law enforcement is an effective tool that can assist in meeting these new challenges.

Police officers, by the very nature of their jobs, are some of the first to respond to disasters. It is no surprise that emergency responders become a major focus in the mental health field after such events.
