What do you think the authors mean by the term gendered justice and how is it different or related to the term feminism?

EACH DISCUSSION SHOULD BE 250 WORDS EACH. THERE IS A FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW BEST TO COMPLETE DISCUSSIONS. DUE IN 24 HOURS

Discussion #1 – Women in CJ

You will need to draw on previous knowledge or information obtained on women in the CJ system from previous CJ (or psych or sociology) courses.

We will start off with a fairly simple post so that you can get acquainted with the process.

FOR ALL DISCUSSIONS, make certain to review the guidelines on discussion posts (see syllabus) if you are uncertain of how to approach the post. More importantly, you MUST submit a substantive reply to another student’s post, AND, you should always provide evidence to support your argument. Again, see the course syllabus for an example.

ALWAYS PROOFREAD BEFORE SUBMITTING TO CHECK FOR SPELLING AND GRAMMAR.

POST:

In your opinion, why is the study of women in the criminal justice system (in law enforcement and as offenders/victims) so important to the discussion on crime and criminal justice? By this I mean, what role or roles (as enforcers of the law and those being enforced) do you think is/are critical to the current discussion of crime and criminal justice as it relates to women? Explain your answer.

Discussion #2 – Theories

You will need to have read and reviewed the lecture section on Gender and crime in module 2.

FOR ALL DISCUSSIONS, make certain to review the guidelines on discussion posts (see syllabus) if you are uncertain of how to approach the post. More importantly, you MUST submit a substantive reply to another student’s post, AND, you are required for this discussion to provide evidence to support your argument. Again, see the course syllabus for an example.

ALWAYS PROOFREAD BEFORE SUBMITTING TO CHECK FOR SPELLING AND GRAMMAR.

POST:

You will need to first conduct a 20-30 minute internet investigation of the different sources displaying information on women and crime. For this post, you are required to find recent government statistics (using BJS or other webpages https://www.bjs.gov/  (Links to an external site.)) and/or newspaper articles on female crime and deviance (any major types of crime).

1.) Copy and paste the link (to where you found your stats) and post into your discussion so that other students may view the info later.

2.) List at least 4 main statistics presented on your page on crimes committed by women or delinquent/deviant behavior.

3.) Finally, discuss with the class which traditional theory (as explained in lecture) you believe would best explain (or would have been applied in the past) the cause of such deviant behavior or crime?

Discussion #3 – Gendered Justice

You will also need to have read and/or reviewed PDF of the introductory chapter titled, Women, Gender, and Crime.

TO REPEAT, FOR ALL DISCUSSIONS, make certain to review the guidelines on discussion posts (see syllabus) if you are uncertain of how to approach the post. More importantly, you MUST submit a substantive reply to another student’s post, AND, you should always provide evidence (cite when needed) to support your argument.

ALWAYS PROOFREAD BEFORE SUBMITTING TO CHECK FOR SPELLING AND GRAMMAR.

POST:

In the introductory chapter titled, Women, Gender, and Crime, the authors begin the section by referring to gendered justice. What do you think the authors mean by the term gendered justice and how is it different or related to the term feminism? Explain your answer.
