•This document is an executive order signed by the governor of Virginia on April 22, 2016 that removes the “political disabilities consequent upon conviction of a felony.”  This means that people in Virginia who have been convicted of a felony in Virginia and served their prison sentence or completed their probation/parole, have their rights restored.

•They can now vote, hold public office, serve on a jury, and become a notary public.

•Florida is not as friendly to people with felony convictions.  Over 2 million people in the state of Florida have a felony conviction and cannot vote, hold public office or serve on a jury.
